No Surrender Vest: A Field Test

We tested the efficacy of the No Surrender paintball vest from inventor-entrepreneur Richard Phillips, owner and president of International Survival Inc.

Shooter Chris Adams used a First Endeavor Quest gun with an Empire Fuel tank – 71cc / 4500psi – and Empire Reloader B. Velocity: Approximately 290 feet per second. Paintballs: Paintball Central Blue Label.

A pre-emptive correction: The U.S. Paintball League approved the No Surrender vest for official tournament play, not an international governing body, cited in the video.

Verdict: Paintballs hurt like hell without protection. The No Surrender vest works as advertised, but you still can detect when you’re hit.

  1. These vests look pretty cool, I have some body armour at the moment, but it stil hurts like hell if I get shot from close range with a paintball, so may investigate this further.

Found one online for $55 is that standard price or can you get it for cheaper.
