computerhistorymuseumDr. Karina Edmonds, the U.S. Department of Energy’s first director of technology transfer, will deliver the keynote at the Tech-Comm 2010 – From Lab to Market event, May 26 at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, Calif.

Edmonds works with the DOE’s national laboratories to help accelerate the process of moving discoveries from the laboratory to the private sector. This year she became the first person DOE has appointed to the role, which was created by the Energy Policy Act of 2005.

Billed as a “day devoted to lab and corporate partnerships,” Tech-Comm 2010 highlights the growing national dialogue on ways to better commercialize innovations at federal labs.
