We’ve written about ICAP Ocean Tomo IP auctions this year. They’re tinkering with the model a bit. Looks like they’re downplaying the auction part and playing up the “Think Tank” educational/conference component.
My hat is off to these folks for having the guts to launch this and stick to it, despite the challenges.

ICAP Ocean Tomo’s next IP Think Tank featuring the Live IP Auction will take place March 24-25, 2010 at The Ritz Carlton in San Francisco, California.
The event will feature a day and a half IP Think Tank conference and Gala Dinner at the historic Julia Morgan Ballroom in the Merchants Exchange Building. The Live IP Auction will follow on the afternoon of March 25th.
The IP Think Tank sessions will feature 30 (by invitation) thought leaders participating in the following tracks:
Track A: The Growing Intangible Asset Marketplace
Track B: Private Equity Investment in IP (Patents, Trademarks, & Copyrights)
Track C: New Market Makers
Track D: IP Nation: Economic Development Through Intellectual Property
The IP Think Tank format provides attendees with an opportunity to directly interact with the discussion. The event also features multiple networking opportunities and exposure to industry leaders.
