You don’t have to drop and give us 20 push-ups, but you may want to consider going to boot camp.

The USPTO’s Trademark Basics Boot Camp, running eight consecutive Tuesdays from April 6 through May 25, is a free, must-attend virtual event for small business owners and entrepreneurs interested in learning about trademarks and how to apply for a federal registration.

The first segment will focus on trademark protection in the United States. You can attend the whole series or select specific topics.

Space is limited, so register early. The USPTO will provide a PDF file of presentation materials within 2-3 days of each event.

More free virtual training is available through the Patent Prosecution Boot Camp, which will include four modules from April 7 through May 19. Law students or anyone interested in pursuing a career in intellectual property can receive information and insight from USPTO experts about the patent process, and the ways patent examiners review your patent application.

The free, virtual webinar series Do You Know @USPTO provides uniquely curated information and education about specific topics, initiatives, and offices at the USPTO. Each monthly episode features a concentrated look at content helpful for stakeholders interacting with the USPTO, whether pursuing a patent or trademark.

“Sesame Street” and Muppets icon Jim Henson will be the subject of April’s Journeys of Innovation series, which tells the stories of inventors or entrepreneurs who have made a positive difference in the world.

Announcements and registration will be found each month in the USPTO’s listing of events on the website events page (uspto.gov/events). Hear how the USPTO is here to help you!
