Inventors Miguel Lozano and Jesus Gomez, both from Arizona, obtained a patent (No. 7,044,028) for their Knuckle Ratchet Set in May 2006. They say the set allows users to add more tools and extensions that provide more torque than existing products, while reducing manufacturing costs. Their ratchet set, “opens up a new and highly profitable product line with … unlimited marketing opportunities,” according to their sell sheet.
